Those crispy pages

The magical world of Books

There is nothing more refreshing than seeing the words in black and white print, braided into sentences that transport you into a different world. Crisp pages, that lets you live the lives of the characters themselves.

Fahrenheit 451 : One can only shudder at the thought of books being burnt. Ray Bradbury's book about books being burnt manages to bring pictures forth pictures of a future when books are shunned and burnt in order to prevent people from thinking and in turn building a personality of their own. The language is absolutely delightful and bits and pieces of the book remain with you long after you have put it down. A must read.

Kafka on the Shore  : A book that forces you to stretch your imagination beyond the realm of fantasy or metaphors . There's no single idea behind the book but it is a bundle of ideas referencing a multitude of books, music, people and philosophies. Its a little hard to digest (especially when read in a single go) but Haruki Marukami does not fail to impress you with his unique style of writing, the parallels he draws and mainly with the extensive imagination that becomes the soul of this particular book.A tale only a fine writer such as him can spin !

A thousand splendid suns :After being eluded by the book for years , finally managed to read it.. Khaled Hosseini's writing is like watching a rose bud bloom bit by bit, despite the thorny series of events that his story portrays. It surely exhibits the radiance of a thousand suns.

Ladies Coupe: Though seemingly an out and out feminist book but the various nuances of Indian women various cultures/economic strata captured in the artful writing. While the characters, emulate strength fighting their own demons of weaknesses, the protagonist leaves you stranding on the border between like and dislike. An intriguing read(deeply disturbing at times)
